P3 was founded in 1996 as a spin-off company of the ‘Fraunhofer-Institute for Production Technology’ at the RWTH of Aachen, Germany, and offers strategy consulting, engineering management and engineering support services to the automotive, aviation, telecommunications and energy industries.

P3 is a privately held company with 1,200 consultants globally of which 83% are engineers. P3 operates at 33 locations worldwide and has generated a turnover of 140 million Euro in 2010. Customers comprise OEMs, large service providers, suppliers as well as government organizations.

 

P3 has a 15 year history of successful projects in the international automotive industry and proven experience in lean production, energy efficiency and supplier competitiveness through projects at shop floor level, project management and strategy consulting.

In Germany P3 has partnered with renowned public and private research institutes specialized in automotive and production technologies.

P3 thinks globally but acts locally. P3-Engineering South Africa (Pty) Ltd was founded in January 2010 in order to serve our current and future local clients. The local team is comprised of experienced consultants with access to a large network of international P3 consultants and a vast number of reference projects.

 

P3’s focus in South Africa is on automotive and aviation OEM’s and suppliers, developers and manufacturers of green technologies such as solar and wind and the telecommunication industry.
